How much does a yacht charter in Croatia cost?

Every price on this site comes from live fleet data rather than a brochure. Broadly, bareboat monohulls are the entry point, catamarans sit well above them, and the same boat can differ by 40–60% between a June week and the first week of August. Add roughly 30% of the base price for the obligatory extras: end cleaning, tourist tax, transit log, outboard and skipper if you need one.

What is the difference between bareboat and crewed charter?

Bareboat means you sail the yacht yourself and one person on board must hold a recognised skipper licence and VHF certificate. Crewed means a professional skipper — and on larger yachts a hostess or cook — comes with the boat. Many crews take a skipper only for the first day, but Croatian fleets normally charge per full day.

When is the best time to charter a yacht in Croatia?

The season runs from late April to the end of October. June and September give the steadiest maestral, warm sea and lower prices; July and August are hot, busy and up to twice the price; May and October are quiet and cheap but need flexible plans because the bura and jugo are more frequent.

Do I need a licence to charter a yacht in Croatia?

For bareboat charter, yes: a sailing licence recognised by the Croatian Ministry of the Sea plus a VHF/SRC radio certificate, held by the skipper on the crew list. Scandinavian, German, RYA and ICC certificates are accepted. Without one, we place a licensed local skipper on board.

How does booking and payment work?

You book online: we re-check availability and the price with the fleet before any card is charged, then take payment by card through Stripe. You receive the confirmation and the crew list documents by email, and the booking is held until the operator confirms the boat.

What deposit do I have to pay?

Two different amounts are often confused. The booking deposit is the first instalment of the charter price, paid when you book, with the balance due before departure. The security deposit is held at check-in against the skipper's credit card and refunded on return if the yacht comes back undamaged; deposit insurance can usually replace it for a fixed fee.

Should I charter from Split or Dubrovnik?

Split and nearby Trogir give the largest fleet, the shortest legs and a classic Brač–Hvar–Vis week. Dubrovnik is quieter, has more crewed yachts and gulets, and suits Mljet, the Elaphiti islands and — with permission — Montenegro. Split is generally the easier first Croatian charter.
